What is OELMA?

The Ohio Educational Library Media Association is Ohio's preeminent professional association for highly effective school librarians and libraries.

Our mission is to advocate for school librarians as they educate students for success.

OELMA News!

Is Your District On This List?

We all know it's important to have school libraries that are well-supported and well-funded. However, we also know this is not the case for every school in Ohio.

The Ohio LMS Survey that OELMA is conducting will document which Ohio school districts employ certified school librarians -- and which districts do not. We cannot do this without YOU.  The following link will take you to a list of districts that have NOT completed the OELMA Survey.  Is YOUR district listed (be sure to check the county – several districts have the same or similar names!)? If so, volunteer to complete the survey by sending an E-mail to OELMA's Director of Services Kate Brunswick, kate@assnoffices.com.  Be sure to include the name of your district AND your county in the E-mail.  Then Kate will send you an LMS Survey to complete. This information will help ALL Ohio school librarians. Please contribute to this effort by completing the survey for YOUR school district. Click here for a list of all districts who have not returned a survey
