Building for the
Future...School Library Media Design in the Age of Technology.
OELMA will present an OELMA pre-conference session on School
Library and Integrated Technology Media Center facilities: Planning,
Design, and Construction. This three-hour pre-conference will focus on
facilities planning for school library media centers of the future,
with an emphasis on integrating technology. This pre-conference
invites everyone in the school district involved with new building
construction or renovation. Bring a district team - administrator,
tech coordinator, and YOU! Attendees will hear expert advice on all
aspects of planning a prospective library design or redesign and
integrated technology center. Envision the library of the future and
begin to consider a library design plan that will meet the needs of
tomorrow's students! The featured speaker is Dr. Steve Baule, author
of Facilities Planning for School Library Media & Technology
Centers (Worthington, Ohio: Linworth, 1999.) After Dr. Baule's
presentation, a panel discussion and Q & A session will take
place. The fee for this session includes a copy of Steve Baule's book:
Facilities Planning for School Library Media & Technology
Centers. You won't want to miss this very informative session!
