| Responsibilities include all aspects of library management, including collaborative work with classroom teachers, instruction of students in library and research skills, collection development, cataloging, budget, technology management, and circulation. The librarian is responsible for textbook purchases and supervision of a student volunteer, who is available to assist with clerical tasks.
The librarian is a member of the teaching faculty and reports to the Dean of Faculty. Depending on qualifications, the librarian may be asked to teach classes and assist with school activities and projects as needed.

| Candidates must have an MLS, MLIS, Library Media Specialist degree, or equivalent experience. Experience working with high school students is preferred.

Additionally, candidates should have some non-academic interests that can be shared with adolescent and adult community members and should be willing to extend time and energy beyond the typical 9-5 workday to seek more reward than can found in standard, full-time employment. |
