Mark Butler will give an overview of Historical Thinking and 21st Century Skills and then lead

participants through a hands-on application of those skills utilizing primary source materials and
graphic novels. The program will identify online resources for researching and teaching Ohio History

and explore strategies for using comic books and graphic novels to promote visual literacy.
